  • Uniform distribution will directly follow team practices on Friday 2/28 in the athletics classroom.

Practice Schedule:

  • All practices for all three levels will be held on the Golden High School Turf.
  • L3 – 3:45pm – 5:15pm (Wallball @5:15pm)

  • Varsity – 5:30pm – 7:00pm (Wallball @5:00pm)

Key Policies & Expectations:

Practices

  • Arrive early and prepare to practice. On time is late. All team practice is mandatory.
  • Injured players are expected to attend practice or spend practice with Jamie in the training room.
  • Sick players are expected to review film and team resources at home.
  • Missing practice means falling behind on plays, schemes, set-ups, etc, which affects the team. Players who miss a practice during the week do not start in the next game.

Grades

  • I receive grade reports every Friday.
  • If an athlete has one F, they are ineligible to play in any games the following week until the grade is improved.
  • If they have two F’s, they are out for the entire next week, regardless of when the grades are updated.
  • D’s also matter. If a player has a D on Friday’s report, they do not start the next game.
  • “The teacher just hasn’t entered it yet” is not an acceptable excuse. Athletes are responsible for staying on top of their grades. 2 F’s on a Friday report card. THEY ARE OUT THE ENTIRE NEXT WEEK.

Team Culture & Conduct:

  • Player Expectations
  • Student comes before Athlete in Student Athlete.
  • Be easy to coach and tough to play against.
  • Attendance is mandatory for all team events during the spring.
  • Zero tolerance bullying and hazing policy.
  • Zero tolerance alcohol and drug use policy.
  • Parent & Family Expectations
  • Do not approach the sideline or attempt to communicate with staff, players or officials.
  • Always treat referees with respect, coaches will address them when necessary.
  • Stay positive, remember, this is a game that is supposed to be fun.
  • Do not try to coach your child or any other players from the stands.
  • Do not speak about referees/opponents/players/coaching staff in a negative or damaging way.
  • Failure to follow these rules will result in escalations. (Zero tolerance policy)

Player & Parent Communication:

  • If your athlete has concerns about playing time, position, or practice, they should come to the coaching staff first.
  • If parents have concerns after their athlete has spoken with us, feel free to email, text, or call—but not on game days.
  • I’m always open to honest conversations about your player. However, I’m not here to debate plays, defensive schemes, or coaching strategies out of frustration.
  • 24 Hour Rule
  • At the end of the day, we are here for your kids — to provide a great experience, exceptional coaching, and the opportunity to compete in the strongest division in 4a. The starting roster may change from game to game, as we’ll always field the players who give us the best chance to succeed. We’re not just aiming for the playoffs, quarterfinals, or semifinals — like every year, our goal is to win the state championship.
